Why rent from Odyssey Gear Rental?
Odyssey Gear Rental supports outdoor enthusiasts of all levels and interests. We offer the latest in equipment from the top brand names in outdoor gear. Our equipment has been personally tested to ensure it is suitable for the rigors of the backcountry. Simply select your gear and we'll arrange for a quick and easy delivery.
How do I place an order?
Complete the order form on Gear By the Piece or Backpacking Packages. The Backpacking Package is an all-inclusive adventure option. Gear By the Piece allows for specific camping pieces to be selected. For this option, click the button next to the piece of gear and the desired rental duration. Each item will be added to your Gear List. Before checking out, please confirm rental lengths. Each item rented must have the same rental length.
Is it possible to rent equipment longer than two weeks?
The Gear By the Piece order form allows campers to rent equipment for up to fourteen days. Odyssey Gear Rental understands that your adventure may not always fit neatly into an order form. We are flexible and will try to meet your needs. Email us and let us know what you have in mind. Remember: transit times are on us and are not included in your rental period.
How do I pay for an order?
Odyssey Gear Rental accepts all major credit cards. For your convenience, payment may be made when your order is received. We can also arrange to take credit card information over the phone. Phone orders bypass the high monthly fees associated with online merchant banks and allow us to keep our rates down.
Does Odyssey Gear Rental charge a sales tax?
Yes. All orders placed and received in Michigan must be charged the state's 6% sales tax.
Can orders be changed or cancelled?
All orders may be changed or cancelled prior to delivery. Please send requests to info@odysseygearrental.com. Once your equipment has been received, the order cannot be altered or cancelled.
How is the camping equipment maintained?
Odyssey Gear Rental cleans every rented item upon return. We do not rent equipment that is not deemed fit for public use. For that reason, we do not rent water bottles or eating utensils. If you need these or other personal products, please visit the new Odyssey Gear Rental store. If the item you need isn't listed, please contact us and we will help you find the right product for your trip.
Can camping equipment be purchased?
It depends on the item. Please contact us and let us know which items(s) you would like to purchase.
